This animation was commissioned as part of the redesign of the offices of venture republic in Tokyo. In Japan, they almost always have an empty room, well designed and fancy, with a telephone, where you can call the person you came to meet rather than a welcoming secretary in the West.
This animation was designed to show off the various aspects and sub-companies of this company and their corresponding websites. Over the space of a year or 2, I changed this animation, to match their new website designs, so It had to be designed to be “upgradeable” and of course I used Flash to create it.
If budget had permitted, I would have made it a touch screen application, but it served its purpose, and at over 3 minutes long and endlessly looping, would allow people see one whole circuit of the whole animation in the time they would wait there.
